Skyewin Prime Resources Inc. traces its roots to a Philippine natural products trading business established in 1983. The company initially handled several Philippine commodities, including gum elemi, gum copal, sea cucumber, seaweeds, and cashews.
In 2000, the business focused its operations on gum elemi, strengthening its expertise in the responsible sourcing and supply of this distinctive natural resin from the Philippines.
In 2016, the business was formally established as Skyewin Prime Resources Inc., a family corporation built on decades of experience, long-term relationships, and a continued commitment to quality, traceability, and reliable supply.

Skyewin Prime Resources Inc. promotes responsible sourcing practices to help protect the trees and forest areas where gum elemi is collected.
In partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), we supported training and education programs for local farmers and collectors on the proper and responsible way of tapping trees. Through these efforts, we aim to help preserve the natural source of gum elemi while encouraging better harvesting practices in the communities we work with.

For Skyewin, gum elemi is more than a business. It is a source of livelihood for many families in rural communities.
Through the resin industry, we help provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for local collectors, farmers, and their families. We also work closely with local government units and community partners to support local people not only as harvesters, but as individuals with the potential to grow, develop, and become more entrepreneurial.
Over the years, Skyewin has taken pride in seeing hundreds of families improve their quality of life through gum resin collection and related livelihood activities. Our community initiatives have included cash assistance, household items, grocery distribution, and other outreach projects.
#ProjectLighthouse
Project Lighthouse is one of Skyewin’s most meaningful community programs. It was created to provide solar lights to farmers and families with limited or no access to electricity.
Through this project, indigenous children and youth in Quezon, Philippines received solar lights, allowing them to study after dark using a safer, cleaner, more affordable, and environmentally friendly source of light.
